Literature offers rich content which can touch a pupil emotionally and influence his/her ideas on life. It would therefore be wise to focus on choosing literature and tasks that reflect the interests of the pupil and enhance his pleasure in reading. The best way to achieve this is by offering a choice in various tasks in which he/she writes/talks about his/her own experiences with a book, a poem or any literary text. Find a selection of possible task sheets on this page. Older pupils will be asked to work with graphic organizers in order to see the structures of literary texts and assess the books that they read. Find more suggestions for a literary workshop on reading and creative writing.
